Safety Measures

First aid provision

Even though Golf is a sport enjoyed by many people around the world, however, as with any physical activity, there is always the potential for injury in this sport as well. While the vast majority of golf injuries are minor and can be treated at home, there are some that are more severe and require professional medical attention. We at Golfer's Horizon offer a complete first-aid provision as a safety measure for injuries incurred during playing golf. This is to ensure that all our customers are able to receive the best possible care in the event of an accident. The provision includes a comprehensive list of items that can be used to treat various golf-related injuries, such as bandages, antiseptic cream, and pain relief medication. In addition, the company also provides a 24/7 hotline that customers can call in case of an emergency. This service is available free of charge to all Golfer's Horizon customers.

Severity of Injury & Mode of Action

Even though we provide complete guarding of our golf grounds with proper care for our players, however, some mishaps might still occur. For any such incidents that may occur, we are thoroughly prepared beforehand. Usually, only minor injuries occur while playing golf. The most common type of golf injury is a muscle strain or sprain, which normally occurs in the back, shoulder or wrist. Ice, rest, and over-the-counter pain relievers are common treatments for these types of injuries. However, sometimes more severe injuries may occur too. These include fractures, concussions and head injuries. If any of our players suffer an injury while playing golf, we are always ready to provide assistance and treatment to the player. For this, there are a few general steps we take to ensure proper treatment. First, we stop the game immediately and ask the player to rest the injured area. Then, we apply ice to the area for 20-30 minutes at a time to reduce swelling. Next, we wrap or support the injured area with a bandage or tape. Finally, if the pain doesn’t subside on the spot and more necessary actions need to be taken, we recommend the player seek medical attention from a doctor or physiotherapist as soon as possible to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Besides these, you yourself can work towards preventing any injuries that may occur. For this, make sure to warm up properly before your round and to stretch afterwards. Wearing appropriate golfing attire such as gloves and comfortable shoes can also help reduce the risk of injury. If you do start to experience pain during your round, it is important to stop playing and seek medical attention if necessary.
